You did not mention that new Gibson exhaust system Random Technologies high flow cat converter removing the engine turned cooling fan for a thermostatic electric one. Should be good for more than a couple miles a gallon and much improved sound less from the engine and a sweet exhaust tune at the rear. Low rolling resistance tires, lighter rims. And not so radical new front caliper kits. And carefully cleaning and freeing up the front brake pads so they move away from the rotors when you let off the brakes. As well as grinding off the edge all around the rear brake shoes and checking the return springs and brake adjusters. Synethic oils are a given every where including the ft wheel bearings

Improving gas mileage only works if the newly acquired savings exceeds the cost of the savings method. One sure way to achieve "money in your pocket" savings is by adding Ethos FR to your gas tank and crank case. This super lubricant coats the metal parts to minimize friction. Based on the cost of the fuel reformulator you will need to have an increased mileage of at least 4 %. Ethos FR testing shows typical increases of 7 % to 19 %. If your current mileage was 16 MPG, an increase of 10% would move you up to only 17.6 MPG. That would save the average driver about $150.00 per year even after the cost of the fuel reformulator. See more at Ethos FR's site shown below. I have had fantastic results. The car runs better. The mileage is great!

Have you tried synthetic oil? I realize my Toyota Echo is a way different vehicle. But, I went from 32.8 to 38 mpg after I switched. You can get Shell Rotella T Synthetic at Walmart for under $15 a gallon.

freer flowing exhaust will help a bit. My gf's 4.0 Cherokee gets worse mileage than my 330 HP Cobra...

Enjoy what you have. A box doesn't move through air very well. My '06 gets 13.7 on a good week. Use it for what it is meant for and you'll be thrilled.
