Well Alberto, keep telling yourself that if it reinforces your world-view, my opinion is that your view is skewed by a bunch of hype,
and my position stands that immigration enforcement is the right answer on this. Furthermore, I resent the fact that you accuse people of being racist when the fundamental issue is not race, but rather illegal immigration. Legal immigrants are not the problem here, trying to get a free pass for 20 million people or even more by some estimates to just waltz right into our country is a Big Problem, and I strongly encourage you to consider your support for these people very carefully, take a good hard look at what you're endorsing there...at the end of the day, it's your viewpoint, and I know I'll probably never change your mind even if I typed till my fingers bled, but nonetheless I'll reiterate that in my view, there's something Not Right about the whole business going on here, and that illegal immigration should be stopped cold. Legal only, or no immigration, period. I don't care how much money's involved. Maybe in Mexico they're used to buying off the cops and the citizens etc., but it's not going to wash in the United States.
I fully support the completion of the border fence, and a brand-new treaty with Mexico that directly governs immigration law between our two countries. This is the 21st century now, 150 years have passed since the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo and the Gadsden Purchase, it's time to refresh our mutual understanding of what the border represents and how to keep all dealings lawful. Those that don't respect our laws have no business in our country, and it's my view that they should be sent forth back where they came from post-haste, meaning 'without delay' or appeal or anything else like that. We've tolerated Mexico's lawlessness for many years, turning a blind eye to all their clever antics, it's time to ask them to step up to the bar, pay their tab, and go home. They have their own problems to fix in their own country, millions of poor to take care of, simply exporting their poor to the United States is no longer an acceptable way for them to do business, as it will ultimately just become a self-perpetuating cycle of poverty, and a neverending burden on the United States and american taxpayers.
Support the border fence, the Border Patrol, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service, employer enforcement, illegal alien hotlines, local initiatives, state and local law enforcement, and like I mentioned, maybe even a brand-new border treaty with Mexico to shine light in any remaining dark corners. 'Clean, clear, and above-board', those should be our watchwords in dealing with Mexico at all times on all issues, no exceptions, no if's, and's, or but's, no more excuses, foot-dragging, fan-dances, feints, ruses, misdirections, sob-stories, song-and-dance routines, fast-talk, accusations, justifications, specious land claims, or other tactics, just good old fashioned reform from the bottom to the top of the issue. Let's have the whole charade over and done with, so that both countries can prosper. Mexico needs reforms, spend your energies more wisely by helping to get that done.
Honesty's the best policy, and sunshine's the best disinfectant.. America can afford to HELP Mexico, we just can't afford to do it FOR Mexico. We've heard about all this 'hard work' stuff, well, let's see some...where it really counts...IN Mexico, please. There's rocks in Mexico, so make concrete. From the concrete, build schools, hospitals, roads, police stations, there's iron in the ground, so make steel, for strong roofs for homes that will last,
get teachers to teach people to support themselves, improve literacy, do all these things, but DO it where it MATTERS, in Mexico. Mexico's got money, Mexico's got many hands, what Mexico needs now is the desire to succeed. YOU can be part of that desire, or not, it's your choice, really...the 'easy out' is to continue trying to find new ways to live off the United States, the hard road is to actually fix your own country. But, whatever...

At last poll 85% of Americans were opposed to Illegal aliens. That is a FACT. Now, to say that they are wanted is such an easy claim. You want them, therefor it is a safe thing to say, but fortunately you do not speak for the vast majority of America. You speak on behalf of a very small percentage of people in America who mostly are not even Americans, that is a FACT. This part about where you seem to think that lobbyists make the difference is wrong. It is the American people who make the difference. All of the lobbyists together couldn't change Americas mind on getting rid of illegal aliens. As far as doing something for another peoples own good, America is not going to support corrupt governments any longer. America is cutting the proverbial umbilical cord from mexico and forcing the needed change for the people who so desperately desire to see gain a foot hold on a better life. FACT, Health care costs are greater because of illegal aliens. FACT ALL insurance rates are higher because of illegal aliens. FACT, The roll illegal aliens play in American society is grossly over estimated by you.
