Amendment XIV
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

Illegals are not US citizens, so this should not apply to them. They do not follow our laws, as they are here illegally in the first place, and most are coupled with Federal crimes ie: SSN theft, forgery and Identity theft .

They have what are called anchor babies, they step across our borders drop a kid bang the child is an American, now they can receive welfare and food stamps and get a SSN for the Child and suck off our countries tax payors.

I'm not sure what is unclear about the section you quoted. Since illegals are not born or naturalized in the USA, they are pretty clearly not covered. What is the question?

I am not sure, but I think what you are referring to is that you are upset that an illegal alien couple will have a child in the U.S. in order to secure their residency in the U.S. because that child would now be an American citizen.

I would not change the words to the 14th amendment but I would still deport the whole family, since the child is a minor and the mother and father are not citizens. When the child reached the age of 18 if he/she wanted to come back on their own, they should be allowed to then as an individual - when they are not a minor child. They should then assimilate into the American way of life at that time.

The section you quoted seems straightforward enough. Illegals are not born or naturalized in the US, different rules apply.

And really, most illegal aliens do their best to avoid trouble. They want to stay off the government's radar, the last thing they want to do is draw the slightest bit of attention to themselves. They don't commit rampant federal crime, like you read about in Internet chain letters. Try to keep an open mind about what you hear and what you believe.


BTW, most identity theft is committed by good ole white American citizens, and what they do is infinitely worse than what a typical illegal alien does.

It says what it says and is the law of the land. It says if you are born here you are a citizen, regardless of your parents status. You're talking about identity theft crimes but what does that have to do with the baby? You say this amendment should not apply to children of illegals well the supreme court doesn't agree with you.

Yes, specifically to clarify the authors meant AMERICAN CITIZENS (not illegal aliens) when it goes on to say:

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the US; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property without the due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protections of law.

"Persons" referred to here are US citizens.

FYI--it is still up for debate if this amendment was legally (constitutionally) ratified.

thats not true , my parent undocument but I m born here thats why we got welfare and food stamp because i m US citizen , thats why even my parent undocument they get welfare because they have me.

Illegal dont get welfare but when they born babies here automatic get welfare.
welfare US law cant CHANGE IT ! all of u need me much anyway.
even now I still get welfare,medical stamp food because I dont have good job yet , when I get good job i start to pay tax ,from now we pay tax when we go to walmart and buy gas.

Yes, I think that it is about time that we get rid of it. Too many people or should I say Too many illegals have taken advantage of it. I think if we put a band on it maybe we will have lessor of a promblem here
