I'd have to say that it would have to be a shelti, collie, dachshund, labrador, or retriever, since those are the dogs that always greet me when I work at a shelter

The most loving dog comes from all breeds. It depends on the way you train them. But out of all dogs the most faithful would be the pitbull. People think these dogs are mean because what they have seen on TV or how people train them. But their true nature is calm and protective. It depend on the person that trains them. Dogs follow and feed off the human emotion. If you are sad they want to make you happy. If you are scared then they want to be protective. You get the point. And the Pitbull is quick to learn and is always willing to please. That is the the problem with a Pitbull is that they are so willing to please that they will do anything for you. It is sad that people take these dogs and make the bad. I know people with Pitbulls that have their dogs so well trained that these dog will not bite and will protect kids. This one lady that has a Pitbull that will not let strange people come up to the kids unless his master gives to okay. These dogs aim to please so it takes a good owner to bring out the best in any dog.

If you love your dog and treat him/her well and with kindness then it will love back. I have had mixed breeds, Labs, spaniels, and now own a Wheaten. All have been loving and faithful and have never bitten anyone. Mona was a mixed breed who even accompanied me to volunteer in the school library and the children loved her. Aine, the Wheaten, is just a baby--not even a year old yet but is very affectionate. Nike, a yellow Lab, was another constant companion who in her old age found walking difficult and was upset when I would go off on my walks. Definitely, you love your pet and it will love back.

I deffinatly think that a Rat Terrier is by far the most loving and faithful breed of dog. I have had a Rat Terrier for the past 4 years. I have never loved a dog in my life so so so much! Plus they are cute, love to cuddle, and are small! I love my Rat Terrier and I bet anyone else who has one does too!!

I have a dachshund mix and he's marvelous.

Generally, they say mixed-breed dogs have the best personalities, because they don't have weird purebred traits.

Since millions (literally) of unwanted dogs are euthanized every year in the U.S. alone, I vote for mixed breeds and discourage purebred breeding.

Save a dog; adopt a mutt!

The answer is a CHIHUAHUA!!! They love you like no other dog will or can. It is the most wonderful characteristic of the breed. Once you own a Chihuahua, you will be in love with the breed.

I love German Shepherds! That would be my vote!
I do sport with my dogs. One of my dogs only works because I like to, not because he wants to. He insists on going, though, to training every week! He does not like protection when he 'works', but at home, he is more vocal and pushy in protection. . .go figure.

I think any dog is loving and faithful to their owner as long as the owner gives them all the love and attention that they need. We have a mixed breed and he's extremely loving and loyal.

I think that a shih-tzu is very loving or a pomeranian..i have a shih-tzu and she is just so full of love and my mom has 11 pomeranians...she lives and breathes by them...but it all depends on the dog too..because some people have bad luck while others have great luck
