I met this girl yesterday evening at a club. We danced for a while and then she left with her friends. Before leaving she gave me her number and asked me to call her. So I want to know how long should I wait before calling her. I really liked her but don't want to sound desperate.

If you really like her, then calling her tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday would be great. Call her after work, maybe 7 or 8PM. and talk about other things in addition to the dance club on Saturday night. She'll like that. Good luck.

If you wait too long to call her, you might lose your window of opportunity. Call her by Thursday or Friday & ask her for a date but do have a plan or suggestions ready in mind if she accepts the date for I don't think she'll find you very interesting & creative if you have to ask her to decide where to meet or where to go. For a start, a lunch or dinner date at a restaurant will be okay as it's a public place with other ordinary customers around and so you won't give her the impression that you're too desperate to get closer to her. After a couple of lunch or dinner dates, then maybe you can suggest bringing her to a dance club or to a picnic.

Call her Monday and tell her what you said here, that you really liked her and you wanted to talk to her again. If the conversation is going well, ask her if she'd like to go out with you -- make the date for the *following* weekend not the upcoming one ... in other words, if you call her Mon 8/28, ask her out for Friday 9/8 or Saturday 9/9. That way you won't seem to desperate ;). Be sure to call her once (or twice, but not more) in between Monday and your 9/8 or 9/9 date. And if you really want to make an impression (and if you have her address), send her some flowers (modest arrangement, nothing outrageously expensive) with a little note saying you're looking forward to your date.

Well I think that you should wait about 2 day before calling her. Because I remember when i meet this guy he called me that same night and i thought that he sounded really desperate, and i didn't want to talk to him because of that. But it funny how things work out because now he's my husband.

it depends on what Cosmopolitan Magazine is telling girls this month.
In April's issue, it was 2 days. Last November it was 5 days.
In the end, it's all a crapshoot with women... Just remember, it's not like that movie Groundhog Day. When you screw up, its over. And you will - she'll see to it.

hm... I think Wednesday or Thursday... Sunday Monday Tuesday, too soon... Wednesday or Thursday you have left enough time, & Wednesday is hopefully far enough away from the weekend so she still might be free... If she gave you her number she would probably be happy for you to call her whenever, but give it a few days. :)

Quit playing games!! If you want to call her, then do it. Call her tomorrow. You don't know her, and she asked you to call. Despite the so-called "rules" no one likes to be kept waiting. If she decides that you're deperate because you called "too soon" then she's trivial and you don't need it. We live in a society of posers and liars..... you like her? call her. If it works out, great. If not, then at least you know you weren't playing games.

you wont sound desperate actually we dont like it when we give numbers and men dont call back you should call her when you feel like you want too but dont wait too long or she will get mad

Call her tomorrow. Don't do the BS "rules" and try to play it cool. The weekend has passed and if she does like you, she'll appreciate the honesty.
