Get your buzz some other way - demerol is for serious pain relief, not for some idiot trying to get high.

Demerol works for most people, but I wouldn't be taking it as a recreational drug. Some serious side effects including death. Demerol is the only drug that works on me in the hospital and I'm a very small person, less than 100 pounds and they give me 6x the amount of a dying cancer patient before it works. Everyone has their own levels of tolerance. Again, opiates are not something to fool around with.

Like most drugs, it probably depends on your chemistry & how your body reacts to that particular drug. I had it once prior to a proceedure. I didn't think that I needed a drug for that proceedure as I had had it previously without anything. Although he said he would onIy give me enough to relax me, I was out cold for most of the next 24 hours. I now refuse demerol. I find that morphine works well & is natural. My mom on the other hand does well with demerol while morphine makes her "crazy".

OK.... a warning... if you are not opiate tolerant , messing with morphine and demerol could cause sudden severe resperatory distress, death. Be careful.
