Hi... the best you can do is...

.. go to the Ireland Embassy in the US... but it might be a little far away... so, you can visit it on: http://www.irelandemb.org/ and contact them asking that!

They are the best people to explain everything to you!

ok heres a check list for you
1) do you need a visa ? if yes apply first
2) do you have a job ? if no visit http://www.jobs.ie
3) do you have accomodation ? if no visit http://www.sherryfitzgerald.ie

other things you will need to do is contact the social services department for a prsi number this is required or you will pay extreme tax on your earnings.

It is easier if you have relatives who are from there or live there.
My mother is English so I got over through Northern Ireland and went down to Republic.
