So why is it that the majority of serial killers, Child Molesterers all claim to be christian? Are they lying?
Can you tell me the reason behind the war in Lebanon at the monent? Religion.. Can you tell me the reason why there is war in the Middle east? Religion.. If disbelief = distruction, why is it that the world is been torn apart by religion?
Here is a challange for you, go and research all of the world tragedies, serial killers, child rapists, etc.. And I can bet more then 90% can be tied to religion! Religion is the biggest problem in this world.
Being an atheist hasnt caused any wars that I know off.. but AGAIN I will say it.. Being religious has caused just about every other one!

you should be care full of the accusations you make on the ungodly being a believer myself and having many friends on both sides of the fence of that subject,Ive heard many stories in my life of those turned away by the small minded judge mental bible thumpers lead by their imperfect demigod Evangelists. Please dint forget to Judge not lest you be judged and by what measure you measure you will be measured.blind belief is no solution to the worlds problems and following gods teachings is very different than just believing in him.and all humanity are susceptible to the worlds temptations.believers or not being good is a natural productive trait in people and the blood of the souls turned away by such an assumption as you have made could be on your hands.god bless

Based on your question and qualification, I think you are a fool. But your opinion is yours. Good luck to you. My perspective is, God gave us the choice to make choices in our lives - even about Him. And have you not heard about the corrution in the church, the police force, seminaries and so on. There are so called Believers who obviously dont practice God's word as you would. Goodness, some of the worst child molestation is within the walls of sminaries. So is this about God or man (and his failings)?
Forgiveness for our sins comes at honest request. Therefore is not disbelief but another word for Hope. And even you must be aware of those who do not recieve God until they are on their death bed. But He does not refuse them, so why are you all pear shaped about it?!

Remember God is a forgiving and merciful God. The churches are built for sinners not saints. God loves everyone, and expects you to pray for the nonbeliever. The answer to your question is yes if a person is a nonbeliever continues to sin until death, without asking for salvation and forgiveness. Repentance will get them to Heaven. Judgement is His call, not ours keep that in mind before you decide where people will end up. Romans 5 verses 6-9 read it. He died for me and I'm a sinner, I'm not worthy but he loves me anyway. He also died for them, let Him decide if he thinks they are worthy.

I am ashamed to live on this earth when i know that there are people like you on it. You call yourself a believer but a true one would never judge some one as you did in this question. I hope to see you at the gates of hell as you said i would someday end up. People like you are the reson i do not believe in god.

To answer your question: Yes, disbelief is another word for self-destructive.
Don't you find it interesting that you limited the question to believers, yet most of the responses are from those who've destined themselves to destruction?

No, I think suicide bombing, or "martyring" yourself is an extreme example of self destruction. Disbelief is another word for doubt. Belief is another word for naivete.

True. In the end, disbelief IS self-destruction. But really, a lot of people who claim to be Christian have done those very same things.
You forgot to mention the other evils......abortion (which would go under murder of course), feminism, homosexuality, love of money, and you're right.....the list goes on and on.

I think you're a close minded individual. Christians are just as capable of those things, why do you think that something like 80% of the people in prison are Christians? And oh no, I trespassed on your little "believers only" party. Whatever will you do?
