Depends on how big you want the pieces. I would cut mine in three the long way and four the short way, so that would be 12 servings. But if you have a rich cake, you might want smaller pieces, so then you could do four pieces by five pieces and get 20; or four pieces by six pieces and get 24.

My vote is 20 pieces for something like brownies, and 12-15 pieces for a regular good cake.

It depends on how small or large you are going to cut the servings. Figure each cut to be about 1.5"x1.5". You should be able to get 6 slices per section, times 6.2 slices across...approximately 36 pieces.
Cut them smaller or larger, depending on your crowd.

I usually cut it into 12 pieces. That gives roughly 3 in square pieces.

depends on how piggy your guests are. I would cut it into approximately 2x2" squares and that should leave you with at least 24 servings.
