Ok, so I accidentally gave a guy my number because he's a nice guy and now I don't want to go through with it.
I do this all the time...what do I do now? He just called me and I didn't pick up...please let me know. Should I text him, call him, what?

Call him back and tell him that you're sorry but you just started seeing someone else and you'de like to see where it goes. If you just text him then he's going to see it as a total blow off... blowing someone off is bad eough, but at least have the respect for him to call him back. And for crying out loud, stop giving your phone number out if you have no intentions of following through!

I think you should talk to him. Tell him that you think he is a nice guy and would make a good friend. Try to talk to him about other guys you like and problems you have had with past relationships. That should get him to stop calling....or at least he will know he is just a friend to you and you`re not interested.

The best thing is to be honest and let him know that you're not ready for it (what ever *it* is). Beware that he will probably continue to try to get to you.
Be cautious or you could get the reputation of being a tease. It's best to be sure of what you want before you do it. You don't want to make a mistake that could be costly.

Just be friends with him. You don't have to date him if you don't want to. If he ask you out then there is your opportunity to tell him you don't have the time right now to date anyone. But you can be friends if he likes. And if he doesn't like it then better for you. At least you told him. Don't feel bad. He is just one less guy. There will be others when your ready!

tell him flat out. cut it clean rather than rip the wound.
just say "i'm not interested in that kind of a relation ship" then he will move to friend status, and plot how to get you to like him over the next 5-6 years.

jeez...answer the phone and say " i don't know why i gave you my number, but I'm not interested so throw my number out and don't call me again." don't wait for a response and hang up.
