No, but they are keep in handcuffs untill a doctor declares them dead.

The person would not be buried with handcuffs on, because the family decides what to do with the body.The only way the state would burie the body is if the family did not have the money or did not want anything to do with the person or if the inmate had no family.

Once a convict dies the threat of harm is removed. there is no need for handcuffs and leg irons.
