My favorite Spanish song might interest you. It is: "La Prieta Linda." This is an old, old love song about a man who is hopelessly in love with a gorgeous, enchanting dark complexioned girl. His passion for this girl is such that he wonders if she didn't actually give him a 'love potion,' because he can't get over her even though now she is someone else's woman. The song goes on to say, "everything in this world changes... only my love for you remains unchanged."

in Spanish i like Soraya with a song "de repente" she just died... she was a very good composer and singer. I do agree too that shakira is also a good option with many songs.
Also a colombian guy named Juanes is cool "tengo una camisa negra" and other songs are ok too.
In arabic i like Abdelhalim for example or Cheb Khaled with a song called "Aisha", or Jadu Hai Nashai with Bharati.
