Using Excel, when using the "Sort Ascending" the first and sometimes a few rows don't sort....... Thanks

make sure you are sorting the same type of data. Also if you are using formulas, the formula could be sorting differently than the cells only containing values. There could also be extra characters such as spaces in the cells that are being sorted, but you don't see them as sorted. Type this formula in another column =trim(Cell number) and drag it down. The copy it and paste it as values. The trim forumula will get rid of any extra characters. Try the sort then.

I think Excel will not sort a column if the column has empty cells. I don't quite understand it myself.

And when you hilight the field you need to sort, deselect "Use Header Row", else, it will not sort it (even if you hilight it).

Are you highlighting all the rows? You have to do that or it will only sort what you highlighted.
