You should have between l,100-3,300 mg. a day. We usually get 4,000-5,000 mg a day. We normally eliminate the salt thru our kidneys, and when we get too sensitive to it, we start getting high blood pressure. Be careful with it!

The amount of sodium you should eat and drink each day should be less than 2400 mg. Most of the sodium people get in their diet comes from salt. which is 2.4 grams

Food lables say 2,400 milligrams. Dosen't help me much as how much is that. I know I have a lot more than I should so I limit it on some things and only eat others when I crave salt.
