If it was a fresh sheet, I'd be concerned, If it were a used on, and teh pup got it out of the clean laundry, not so concerned. Either way you need to keep a close on on him/her. If it was fresh, and un used, I'd call the poisen control center, if you dont have a phone book, dial 411. Used sheets seem to lose alot of their chemicals, and my puggle has chewed a few of those, puppies do that.

I am no longer a vet- however my canine (a 12 months ancient beagle) LOVES dryer sheets. Come what may she continuously manages to steal it after I take clothes out of the dryer. Dogs have got to be able to odor precisely the place it's in a pile of clothes. She more commonly eats one a week! She is continually satisfactory. I would not worry. The sheets had been used, so they're form of like a tissue, which my canine also enjoys eating for some purpose. But i'd say that it is most often easy to digest. I'm honestly surprised that your dogs thew it up. Once more, i'm now not a vet, but i do not believe you will have some thing to worry about! Hope this makes you think better! :)

Yes, puppies do love to eat and chew on whatever they can get their little mouths on. You should call your vet, and watch your puppy. Make sure he/she has plenty of water and discuss what you should do with your vet. If the puppy seems okay, it probably is, and the sheet will show up in the next couple of bowel movements. If not you need to follow up with your vet because you don't want this to become an intestinal problem. The vet might be able to give you something to help flush it out or at least give you some suggestions as to what to feed your puppy to assist in moving this sheet through their system.. Good luck..

I would contact the Bounce company at 1-800-526-8623. I looked on the side of my Bounce dryer sheets (outdoor fresh) and I dont see any poison labels on it. It does say keep out of reach of toddlers and pets to avoid accidental ingestion but nothing further such as call the poison control center if ingested or anything of that nature. I believe that by law all poison risks must be posted on the package. Hope this helps

If it has already been through the dryer, than all the chemical stuff should be gone from it. He'll probably be fine, but when you take him out next see if you notice him eating grass, dogs do that when their tummies are upset, it helps settle their stomachs and to throw up. If he starts acting weird, call your vet or an all night animal hospital, they can give you advice over the phone, cause it's REALLY expensive to bring your dog in after hours. Good Luck

it really depends on how big the puppy is, if it is a miniature chihuahua, for instance, he might need a vet, but a bigger normal puppy, the dryer sheet should pass thru in his bowels within 2-3 days, good luck, and give him lots of water, and liquids to flush hissystem quicker. ellie

Keep your dryer sheets in the laundry room w/ the door closed.

You can give it syrup of ipecac (buy it at the pharmacy/works for humans too) if you want it to throw up, but that's for dangerous chemicals, a dryer sheet won't kill them. I hear you can also open their mouths and put a small spoonful of salt in the back of their throat, so they swallow it; that's supposed to make them throw up too. You can search 'dog induce vomit' if you want to learn more about that.

Watch your pup carefully!!!! The material that makes up a dryer sheet will NOT digest. It may simply move thru & not cause a problem. BUT!!! it may also cause an intestinal block that can be EXTREMELY PAINFUL & IF NOT TREATED WILL CAUSE DEATH!!!
Keep a close eye on your pup, PLEASE!! At ANY signs of discomfort or bloating or ANYTHING ABNORMAL!!! GET THE PUP TO THE VET!!! WHERE YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SURGERY TO REMOVE THE BLOCKAGE!!!

I'd call a vet and get their opinion. I know that dryer sheets are very toxic to cats. I'd assume they aren't much better for dogs.
