It isn't urine, its a chemical spray. The chemical bonds to hair and skin. You will need an oxygen source to get rid of the smell.

Skunk Smell Remover
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 tbsp Dish Wahing Liquid-like dawn
Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, because it will boil up like Vesuvius. We are, after all, making an oxygen generator. Wash the dog with this while it is still foaming, because it is the oxygen which reacts with the thiols in the skunk stink to neutralize the odor. If it sits around, it will loose it's efficacy because the oxygen boils off. Don't try to store it in an airtight container, because it will blow up. The brew also works for clothes, humans and unlucky cats.

Tomato Juice will only make your dog a little more Italian ;)

First off its not pee that skunks spray. Secondly I would suggest getting a special shampoo from the pet store. There are ones that remove skunk smell.
Tomato juice does not work. It only turns your dog pink.

mix 1/4 cup of baking soda, with 2 bottles of household hydrogen peroxide, and 1 teaspoon of dish soap..Bathe and leave on for a few minutes...
Don't mix in metal container, or store any leftovers...

this works MUCH better and cheaper than tomato juice..

Well if you have enough money you can take the dog to a groomer and most groomers should have a special shampoo that they use just for that and it works....but I dont' know how much a groomer normally charges so you would have to call around..good luck!!!
