the foreing language teachers want to take their classes on a trip to paris and madrid to see the culture we are learning about. the only problem is that teh cost is around 2500 dollars per student. we're from a small town adn its mostly lower class families who cannot afford the cost of the trip. we've written to oprah and are trying to get several grants from politicians and such. if any one knows any other ways to help us teens participate in something we may never be able to do again, it would be greatly appreiciated.

You could...
Have a car wash
Have a bake sale
Ask local businesses for donations
Sell candy bars
Babysit
Do odd jobs for the elderly
Sell refreshments at games when the snack shop is not open
Yard work
Gift wrapping at the holidays.

I did all of these things with my students and they all had to pay only $200.00 each. Many of the tour companies now take credit cards so that could be an option if you are able to get a job and then pay it off.

German could be of extra income to you in later ;existence, so i might propose getting a extra useful, sounder information of that language. you could learn Dutch once you have mastered German.
