Info/ what years did whinchester mfg mod 100 rifles in ,284 cal

Released in 1961, actually manufacturing stopped in 1973, although they might have still sold off the rest for a year or two. UNLESS the .284 was discontinued earlier, but I am pretty sure that it was made till the end of the 100. ALSO, if you have a 19" barrel, it was made between 1967 and 1973. And of course, watch for serials UNDER 72,000, that will bring a little more. Also, if you look in a book, it seems like the actual market value on the .284's is usually a little higher than what it says, perhaps an indication it's on the rise. Getting harder and harder to find, I haven't seen one in over a year.

It was introduced in 1961. They were discontinued sometime after 1974 but I'm not sure exactly when, yet.

In the early rifles, there was a recall on the firing pin.

one added note,,link above will give you date made...the 284cal is most valuable to collectors,due to its low numbers of manufacture,,also came in 243,308 cal.if you have the 10 round clip,its even rarer.
