Life is merely a test one must face before he can go on into the unknown. Everything one does they already knew they were going to do before they did it. Nothing is a secret. Subconsciously everyone already knows what their whole life will be like. All they are really doing is going through the motions. If they do the unexpected, it was really the expected in a sense because they had to know they were going to do it. The meaning of life is to just go through all the motions and do their day to day activities to please some higher being so people can be content they will have a good afterlife and death. All a person worries about in their life is their death and what is to come. No one can truthfully worry about the present because they already know what is going to happen, so to them it already did. Life is just like a big game of chess, the whole time you think ten moves ahead until its finally the end and you are either defeated or victorious. Reality doesn’t even exist. Reality is just what people want to make it. Nothing is real, its just a game with no real winner. The only absolute truth is that there are no absolute truths. This statement is a great example of what reality is. It just doesn’t make sense, and cant make sense. Basically life just sucks but you have to do what you have to do to keep going on and always hope for better times even though they may never come.

Some people may not believe this, and I’m not even entirely sure if they should. After all truth is just what people want it to be. If this isn’t what people want to hear then they’ll disregard is and not believe it.

AND I HATE IT = - (

I take issue with almost everything you said.
- First, life is not "merely a test" for something else. Life is all there is. That's the whole show. Thanks for coming!
- The future is unknowable because it has not been created yet. The future is an event of perpetual creation. You seem to believe in determinism, that we're all on railroad tracks, but this is an old way of thinking that was destroyed by new ideas like quantum mechanics. Determinism is wrong. The outcome of events, even well-understood events, is probabilistic. When you add lots of events together, you get less and less knowledge about how they will turn out in the end.
This is also true of life.
- If the point of life was to "go through the motions" to win favor with God, then yes that would suck. Luckily, that's not the point at all.
- If life is like a game of chess, it's one where you die before the end of the game. It's playing that counts, not who got checkmate on the last move.
- Reality is not what people make it. If people could make reality whatever they wanted, I could just believe "arsenic is as healthy as orange juice", drink an arsenic drink, then be fine. But even if I believe that arsenic is good for me, I will still get sick and die if I drink it. My beliefs don't change that reality.

Or you could say "life sucks, life is meaningless, but I am going to do the best that I can because I have worth and I have dignity, and I won't give up until it's over." Reality isn't a choice, but how you respond to it IS.

Yes certain things have to happen. It makes us realize how precious life is and force us to live it to the fullest. So stop trying to be a new age philosopher and get out there and live life. Love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's no one listening and dance like no one's watching, that's the key to living a full and happy life.

It's the natural order of things. Go with the flow sweetie. It's not what happens or doesn't happen in your life, it's how you deal with it. We're all in this together, just plugging along, existing. The good part...we're not alone. Always remember that.

It sounds like you're lecturing all of us. Fact is, you have no idea about any of this. My advice: Stop doing so much navel gazing, and go out and live.

Love, Jack.
