i heard women can tell if a man is wearing a hair piece(i dont wear 1 myself,i go bald and proud)but i was wondering how can you tell?

Sometimes people can tell because it's made of imitation hair. It just looks "fake". Sometimes you can see the hair piece line at the temples, sides, or back. Sometimes it's noticeable that the hair isn't in a natural growth pattern. Sometimes the hair doesn't act like real, like when it's wet or the wind is blowing.
A lot of little give aways can add up to one big fat mistake. You are smart by not wearing one.

Some pieces just don't blend. It looks too "wiggy". Most women tend to have an eye for detail.

It just looks unnatural. A piece doesn't have the natural flow that your own hair has. It looks like it just sits there.
