Natural sources are always best.
That said, vitamins that come from a pill are better than having a vitamin deficiency.

Chemically, there is no difference at all, whatsoever, between the vitamins (and minerals) you get from natural foods, and supplments. In fact, some essential nutrients are much easier to get in "pill" form than in their natural state.
A good example is vitamin E (tocopherol). It's a very important nutrient (they ALL are), and it's found naturally in most dark-green, leafy vegetables (like spinach and kale), along with things like wheat germ and egg yolks. The problem is, in order to get the recommended Daily Value of vitamin E (in the case of an adult male, it's about 15 IU's), you'd have to eat several pounds of spinach, or something like two dozen egg yolks. Every day!
Of course, you can't get certain other things, like natural fiber, from pills/supplements. As long as you have a modest, balanced diet, it is always in your best interest to also take a daily multivitamin/mineral supplement.

i go with the natural way too...it's better than swallowing pills...BUT...during winter when i don't have access to fresh fruits (only to those grown up in greenhouses) and because i eat a lot of meat and fats i prefer to supplement my nourishment with pills...so i take vitamins as pills..actually i use effervescent tablets because it tastes better (they are with fruit flavors :P)..so i make this cure for 10 days...after i have a break because i don't want to overload my organism with vitamins and minerals, because the tablets i use contain also minerals beside vitamins(it better to use a complex product not only pure vitamins, because it contains small amounts of everything :D)...you can restart the vitamin cure after about a month and a half if you feel it necessary...or you can make only one cure at the middle of winter...
one advice...if you decide to take vitamin pills please do not exaggerate with them because not all the excess of vitamin can be eliminated through urine...for example vitamin D in excess causes the calcification of artery or/and kidney...do you know what i mean? so...use combined products for a better result and for a short period of time (10 days is enough)..
so keep up the good health ;)

Natural is best. Remember, though, lots of fruit we buy are sprayed to extend their shelf life. Also, some people cannot tolerate the acidity of fruit so would have little choice but to take tablets. Also, in this day and age where people have so little time to devote to their health (too busy making money to look invest in something as important as health....), tablets are better than nothing at all.
Don't forget your vegetables, too. They are also packed with vitamins and minerals. Organic is best but at their extortionate prices it is difficult, isn't it?

well i would say definately from the natural source, but sometimes due to our busy lifesyles, we hav the easy option of just swolling a vitamin tablet. I must say that i do a combo, in fact i must go and get a glass of juice now.

It is best to get them from the natural source. Also, the natural source contains phytochemicals and antioxidants, which the tablets dont contain
