that's funny to ask b/c my brother just proposed to his g/f a few hours ago! he did it in the spur, and she least expected it! it was so cute and romantic b/c it was in front of the whole family and she got to meet with all of her future relatives!

As romantic as possible. Yet something with a twist.
How about a day at a theme park or carnival? Have the ring in a helium balloon and "pop" the question?
A lovely picnic in the park would also be a perfect setting. Make it a candlelight picnic. Propose just at sunset so she can see the colors of the evening when she says "yes".

With the gift of reality! Making sure you really work on being prepared for life after the wedding and negotiating the things that will cause trouble later. There is a book out called lies at the altar which prepares you for marriage in the real world its by dr. robin smith...get her that and then read it together. What better way could there be to get married than to prepare completely to have the best life you can after the wedding and avoid a divorce.

Rent huge billboards all over town and have each one say different things about how much you love her and the reasons you want to spend the rest of your life with her.
Or you could attach a note to her dog or cats collar with the ring attached to it....LOL

ROMANCE, ROMANCE, ROMANCE.
if you live in the north (I'm from Canada) wait for a while, take her for a horse drawn sleigh ride in the snow, hot chocolate by an open fire, when it gets dark. ring and the question..... don't tell her i gave you the idea, it would only ruin the moment...
if you are from the south.... good luck, don't do it on a topless beach..lol

Sorry, but in the future if she gets still thinks about the "way you proposed" instead of the fact that you did propose, she's going to be very difficult to please.
