How do I go about volunteering to help with the aftermath of Katrina?

I have 2 weeks or so to spend away from home. I'm well versed in computer usage and can handle repairs around the house.

Ask the Red Cross they will set you in the right direction. Even though it's been a year thanks for wanting to help. It's never too late!

I heard on the radio that there is still a lot of work needed and that you could just go ahead and go, you don't need the humanitarian agencies' help. Still, I would think that some planning might be in order...
