I've recently started seeing a therapist and I literally have to make myself go. I hate myself more now than before I started, and I'm having a hard time dealing w/ the embarrassment of it all. I'm hoping it'll get better.

I used to have weekly therapy appointments with a counselor and sometimes I would just dread going in-- I mean, I might be in a fairly tranquil mood that day and then I would have to dive into all this STUFF again. It always made me anxious. Long term benefits can be just tremendous, of course. Short term, I think you can feel very chaotic inside--so much to think about. Be sure you have a therapist you feel comfortable with. They are as screwed up as anybody else, so you need a good match.

I stopped seeing my therapist about eight months ago. My last three visit with her made me irritated. I have found out more about her than her husband even knows. She e-mailed me and wants me to call her back. She started "hugging" me after a few visits. She had been in theraphy, her daughter is in theraphy, her dad before he died was seeing a geraretic psychiatrist. I see one also, but just for medication.
it just got to the point that I was receiving hardly nothing from her, and was not doing what she told me anyway.

Yes with her it made things worst there at the send...

It might make things worse in the short term because you have to face the issues but long term you'll be better off. Sometimes you have to try a different therapist.

MADE THINGS WORSE?

DO YOU MEAN THAT YOU ARE NOT FEELING ANY BETTER?

SOMETIMES THE TRUTH HURTS.

ARE YOU HAVING A PROBLEM ADMITTING TO SOMETHING?

DO YOU REALIZE THAT WE ARE ALL "RIGHT" IN OUR OWN MINDS, AND THAT SOMETIMES WE REFUSE TO SEE THAT OUT OF THE OBSTACLES WE FACE, 90% ARE THE ONES WE PUT THERE.

SOMETIMES IT TAKES AN OBJECTIVE PERSON TO POINT THAT OUT TO YOU.

HAVE YOU DECIDED TO MAINTIAN THAT YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL VICTIM?
IF SO, THEN MAYBE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS ARE YOUR THERAPISTS FAULT......
