8 months is teething time! I have an 8 month old and watch a little girl about the same age. The little girl I watch cried last week all week also, I guess today she got two teeth poppin through. She also could be getting seperation anxiety. Try leaving her alone a little more often or with other people, that may help. Get some oragel and see if that helps and tylonol used in moderation is good too. FInally check her temperature often, she may have a virus, my son gets them and his only symptom is fever and tears. GOOD LUCK with 2 youngins!!

Teething! My daughter 16 mos now, started not sleeping and being really fussy at 7 mos..then a couple weeks later a tooth showed up. Trying giving her some baby tylenol before bed and see if that helps. If it does, that's probably the problem. I gave her tylenol/motrin for 2 weeks straight because she was in pain. I would call you dr or have her checked out for piece of mind also. Good luck! It does get better....

Babies cry for a LOT of reasons and the number one reason is: that's what babies do. Nothing you can do to prevent it. Take her to the doctor to make sure everything is OK but she probably is just fine and you'll just have to live with it. You might also want to not respond to her crying for a little. She needs to learn to soothe herself, and not expect a parent to come hold her every time she cries, or she'll cry every time she wants some attention.

My daughter had a rough patch with sleeping from 8months until she about 10 months. She was teething and learning to cruise around the house and learning to talk. I read that when babies are learning new things, for some reason it interrupts their sleep patterns. Don't worry, she'll work it out and so will you. Good luck and get some sleep when you can.

Maybe she's sensing the impending arrival of her brother while she undergoes teething.

I suggest letting her sooth herself, maybe place new distractions above her crib.

She is a newborn, maybe she has colic, or maybe she is gassy.
