I am one of the few women that will tell you this, but inn the end, women are jealous creatures in constant competition with one another.

There is likely a reason why she doesn't like the idea of you having women friends. I'll list a few, although there are many more then this and it is not necessarily true that any of them apply to your particular female.

1) Are they new female friends?
- New female friends are hard on your girl because it implies some things about her. Female friends you had before you start dating a girl are something of a must to accept. She may not like them but she will tolerate them and "play nice" with them. We know that they are important figures in your life and if we want to be with you we have to accept them. NEW female friends are a different story. They imply you can't get the female companionship that you need from us, the woman in your life. It then leads to a whole train of illogical thought processes that end up in the question "Am I not good enough?"

2) Your female is insecure about something.
- Your female may be looking at your female friends and thinking that they are smarter then she is, prettier, more athletic, thinner, etc then she is. These things are concerning when added to the fact that your friends know so much about you. Again through female logic it comes out to the fear that you may leave your female one day for one of your female friends because they are "better" or "more perfect."

3) She is a possessive creature.
- Most of us stake our claim one way or another. Holding hands, kissing, keeping close to our males ... Most women are possessive in varying degrees. It's hard to explain though, but I can tell you that other women are always going to be a threat on the radar. If we find our man attractive, every other woman must too, right?

There are a ton of other reasons too, but I have found that these are the most consistent ones.

I think the problem is most of us women know that there is no such thing as just friends. For one person there may be only friendship there, but for the other there is probably feelings involved, and the other person may not ever know it. And above all this there is the alcohol factor. Get two "platonic friends" together drinking and it's a whole other ballgame. I think if you look really closely you know what I'm saying is true. It'a not that we're psycho or jealous we just know what we women are capable of.

it's not such a big deal. i think u are blowing this out of proportion. if the woman is secure in her self and her relationship then she should have nothing to worry about with her man having female friends. remember that woman can have male friends also. what goes around comes right back around.

That's just the way women are. They can have guy friends, but we cannot have women friends.
