Oh yeah, he is brilliant (if brilliance is the same as idiocy).
Here are a few choice quotes from this brain-dead nuisance:
Pat Robertson:
- "... A socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
[Pat Robertson on Feminism]
- "I know one man who was impotent who gave AIDS to his wife and the only thing they did was kiss." [Pat Robertson]
- "These are actually chunks of lung itself being coughed up. I don't understand exactly what it is, but God has healed you right now. Amen." [Pat Robertson, during a "faith healing" session]
- "When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple
answer is, `Yes, they are.'" [Pat Robertson, "The New World Order," page 218]
- "Many of those people involved in Adolf Hitler were Satanists, many were homosexuals -- the two things seem to go together" [Pat Robertson, ADL report on Religious Right, page 131]
- "It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-biased media and the homosexuals who want to destroy all Christians" [Pat Robertson, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Sept. 14, 1993]
- "You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist." [Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, January 14, 1991]
- "The New York Times reports that evangelist Pat Robertson, who will announce in two weeks whether he will run for the presidency, claims he can pray away bad weather. ... Robertson said in a recent interview that his prayers to keep Hurricane Gloria away from Virginia Beach last June had been successful, which was 'extremely important because I felt, interestingly enough, that if I couldn't move a hurricane, I could hardly move a nation.' ... Robertson said that if the hurricane had come ashore, he would have seen it as a sign from above to abandon his presidential ambitions."
[Leah Garchik, San Francisco Chronicle, 4 September 1986]

He is probably in a hot tub right now with some booya babes with a bong and drinking Jack laughing about all the sheep that cut him 15% of their social security checks. Frankly I don't even think any of these scam artists believe in their own bs they just found an easy way to make some money. Think about it they have no accountability. If something works out, it was due to prayer and that $ you sent if it doesn't work out, it was the will of God. Ima gonna heal ya.......put one hand on your monitor and the other on that part thata neeeeds healin' I feeeeel the power!! You see we snake handlers are the only true believers (he stands aside and waits for the Children of the Corn)

From what I have seen and heard from him...he is an insult and a danger to Christianity period. Asides from the fact that he has said many degrading and insulting things which goes contrary to the true spirit of Jesus's teachings (which makes him like the Pharisees of Jesus's time)...he continually mooches off money from the millions of people who rightly or wrongly follow this man. And the fact that he tried to run for president makes me even more suspicious of him...because last I remembered the USA had something called the separation of church and state, and no religious authority (even a ridiculous one like Pat Robertson) has any business trying to influence politics or to be in politics to begin with.
This man is no different from the Ayatollahs of Iran...we have, no, we need to "take them out"...
While I support free speech...that does not give the license for anyone to say stupid and or idiotic statements. And note that it isnt bad enough that he speaks his mouth off...the bastard even has INFLUENCE in politics (he supports most of Bush's decisions BTW and he probably even funds the electoral campaigns of certain politicians)

I think they should actually sew his mouth shut. He is a self-righteous hypocrite, but then most religious figure heads are hypocrites. Look at Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Robert Tilton, Rev Jim Baker, etc, etc.

Let's face it Pat's pretty Sharp man. He's never done a hard days work in his Life and never will. All he does is tell people what they want to hear, reinforce their insecurities and they give him lots of money. Lots and lots of money. I can't understand why everyone hasn't caught on by now. Yet, with a sucker born ever minute, Pat & Jerrry too will never have to work or be short on cash.
