Have you tried running early in the morning when the sun isn't at its full potential, or even later in the evening? You need to determine just how many calories you are acutally burning when running in order to find an activity that will match. In ALL full-hearted honesty house work can burn a lot of calories. Especially if you have a home with stairs. I find that vacuming upstairs and carrying the vacum up and down the stairs tends to work up a heart rate. Vaccuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning out closets (for lifting) if all done in the same day, and give yourself a time frame to do it, may help get you thru these last days of summer.

Jumping rope is an excellent indoor cardio exercise! It burns a lot of calories. Try doing 30min jumping, 30 rest and then repeat. It is really a great workout!
