Come to the Dark Side.. be an Information Warfare Officer.

are you married? you say you have a daughter..single parents may not join the military(Officer or enlisted). on the hubby's last ship..THREE single parents(all Junior Officers) got out because the ship was due to deploy and they failed to have an adequate Family Care plan in effect, something that they are REQUIRED to have in place at all times. So the ship left shorthanded, leaving everyone else to take up the slack.

ETA: glad you hear that are married. No, there are no MA officer slots.

What do you like? I love flying and I love my job... however, I have met many supply officers that love their jobs. Also, SEALs love their job.

The only people that I hear complaining are the Surface Warfare Officers, but I have also hear some claim that they would not want to do anything else.

End point: what do you love to do?

By the way, why do you ask?

I think it would have to be a fighter pilot. Great ones get great promotions. If you are a quiet and intelligent individual who is good at multitasking, submarine ops may be for you. I am claustrophobic so the sub is not for me.

Navigation and Engineering are the two professions most likely to lead to a command.
