I have committed adultery "in the biblical sense" again and again. But I don't believe in the bible, so it's all good.

see what I mean...they said if the laws of leviticus were no longer in effect...listen with both ears..lust is another human thing we do, or rather "of the flesh". I have lusted anyone that says they havent lies like a rug lol. But I do believe in forgivness of sin. And yes I guess Ida got stoned for looking at some guys butt back then but Im still forgiven, see people you can let others know that God has a sense of humor, relax its ok. Views cannot be stated if you dont read the whole question. very intriguing question at that

Yes, I have lusted after a married man before (years ago). In the end, neither he & I nor he & his wife were together. I spent several months desperately depressed because I had broken up his marriage.
Thankfully, Jesus reminded me that the man was just a culpable as I. After a repented, Jesus worked on my conscious, & I eventually got over the guilt.
Good thing we're not in OT times, 'cause I'd have been a stoned cold mama!
There is no "exemption" to sin. Jesus paid for them, but we still have to accept that payment for ourselves.
Homosexual activities are no worse than any other sexual sin (or non-sexual sin).
There is no condemnation for those who have been justified.

It isnt "exemption" as adultery is still a sin. Jesus showed us that we are ALL guilty of sin worthy of death and to show eachother mercy as He shows us mercy. Christians should treat all sins the same way, whether it be gluttony, adultery, homosexuality, gossip or whatever.

Because it is a sin! There is forgiveness from that through the blood of Jesus..just like there is for homosexuality. But both are sin. And there is no exemption from sin..forgiveness only through Jesus.

Sinyckel, homosexuality is condemned in the NT as well, so we don't get to overthrow the bigotry by discounting Leviticus.
Homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is an expression of Love. No law of God or Man can deny it or conquer it. Think "Romeo and Juliet".
Love conquers all.

Well, since the biblical sense of adultery apparently includes not only sex before marriage but even looking at someone with lust, than I dun adulterated all over the place. *lol* But as we all know, I don't place much stock in the bible.

Jesus did not exempt adultery. He forgave it. Regardless, adultery and homosexual activity (not being homosexual) is an abomination in the eyes of God.

I have never committed adultery, which is a sin. The practice of homosexuality is also a sin.
