This has caused a serious problem because I have started to autimatically control it. When I want it to go on by itself, it just doesnt go right and I notice it. What do I do? At times hwne I'm just not thinking about it, I dont notice it at all. But when I think about it, it comes back. So how do I not think about it? People tell me to not think about it , but it is not possible.

You just have to forget it. Ive done that too. Just forget it and itll do whats its suppost to. Don't be annoyed by your pulse or anythings. Its just part of life.

Practice a form of meditation called "guarding the breath." Sit, legs and feet flat on floor, hands folded over each other, palms upright. Try to rid your mind of distractions. Focus only on your breath: inhale, exhale from your heart, concentrate on breath brushing your upper lip. Thoughts will come: school, sex, job, traffic outside, noise in room or apartment or house, dog etc. Note distraction, return to focusing on breath. 1/2 hour a day. First month, try 15 minutes. Set timer. Eventually, you will notice how relaxed you are in everyday life, how unselfconscious. You won't be aware of the distractions you mentioned. All will be flowing in synch.

Not being able to block something out of your mind could be caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain. Take 50mg of 5 HTP and see if that helps. If not, eventually something more serious will come up and it will probably take your mind off it.
