irish gaelic and the scots version of gaelic are two different languages from 2 different countries. you have to be clear its either one or the other , you would be doing a dis-service to both individual countries by assuming they are the same language and people. is it a scots or irish translation you need:
edit i cant find the literal translation, you could use an online gealic/scot gaelic dictionary but it wont mean the same with the two words translated individually. also if its a memorial tattoo you had better make sure its the right one you want, a missing fada could screw the whole tattoo.
edit: you know your history, there is no "our" history. its either irish or scots. instead of a translation get a irish tricolour and st andrews cross intertwined as a tattoo
