In my opinion ... Small blisters that are nothing more than clear substance are not bad; however, if they are painful blisters or are filled with milky or other un-clear fluid, you need to get treatment.

Yes, it is bad ... you have quite a bad sun burn.

Don't break the blisters.

Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

You may need to take a pain reliever such as aspirin or ibuprofen for a few days.

The most important thing to remember is to keep your skin moist. You can apply cool, wet compresses to the burned area several times a day. Or if the sunburn covers a larger portion of your body, nothing beats soaking in the tub. A shower is okay too, but the water shooting out of a shower nozzle can sting.

Aloe vera is also very helpful. There are a variety of creams and lotions on the market that feature aloe vera. Some of these are specifically created for use on sunburns while others are for general purpose use.

Stay out of the sun and use a sunscreeen with SPF 30.

I hope this helps.

Thats normal for a sun burn. The skin in that area is dead and is getting ready to peel off. The best thing to put on it is an aloe vera gel with lydacane in it. This is a skin numbing agent that will come in handy when those blisters get to poppin! Other than that, keep the area clean and try not to irritate it with heavy clothing, all should be well in a few days. Hope ya feel better!

Yep - its bad.. but you will get thru it..

If it hurts take panadol..

take panadol 20 minutes prior to a tepid temp shower

stay out of the sun COMPLETELY

if you have to go out in the sun - even if ur just getting out of the car - make sure u are fully covered in an SPF 15+ sunscreen

Moisturise whenever u think of it..

Buy yourself GOOD after sun care spray, lotion..

Dont pick or try to disperce the blisters..

If you start to peel DONT PICK IT - see if u can get an aloe vera LEAF not lotion an actual leaf - if u can gently rub the sap of the leaf (once u break it open) onto the affected spot.. let it dry and once its hard and ry wash it off and do it again.

if you do pick it and it wasnt ready to come off then ur prone to infection which is more pain, more gunk and more money for GP and antibiotics..

Oh and if u swell - dont stress it will go down.. especially if u burnt ur face - dont be worried if ur eyes become swollen.. they are just trying to cope.

Follow my instructions and your good as gold.

If your still worried or start to get a fever, chills, sweats, vomit, headache, light headed ect - contact your emergency dept asap.

All the best, take care - we've all been there before

It's not good . Never get a sun burn on top of another burn. You may need to be treated in the ER if the blisters are infected . A bad sunburn can turn up cancer many years later .

Yep it's bad. It's a move severe type of sunburn and it will take longer to heal in addition to being more of a discomfort. You may even have sun poisoning which would cause you to feel ill. if that's the case then get down to a doctor. Otherwise jsut use aloe and cold rags. Next time use sunscreen, it will protect you from cancer and prevent a severe burn like that.

That happened to me in July!

Stay in bed, use vinegar soaked rags to take out the sting, pain relievers, liquids, liquids, liquids, a low fan, and an after sun spray.

Don't put ointments or oils on the burn as they will hold heat and will cause the burn to get worse.

The only thing that took the worst stinging out was the vinegar soaked cloths. Cool, steeped tea bags helped a little, but the vinegar worked best.

yea that is bad - use some aloe and creams meant for that - maybe even first aid cream for blisters from the sun. Also may want to see a dermatologist if it hurts bad or doesn't clear up. Use sun cream even if going out for 15 minutes SPF 30+

It's just sun poison, which isn't exactly bad but not exactly good either, but anyway just put aloe on it and if you can find some solarcaine spray thats good to put on it too, just try to stay out of the sun as much as possible until it is healed and try not to take bath or showers in really hot water as that will only make it worse. Good Luck!

You have third degree burns, these may be treated by applying 100% pure coconut oil (Nui Brand - pronounced New). Coconut oil can be purchased from a health food store, contrary to popular belief coconut oil actually takes the heat out of any burn. I use it extensively in the nursing home. It should take only 15mins or so to take the heat out. Do not apply to thickly as it won't work properly. It is not greasy and is shall restore your skin without leaving scars. Coconut oil also has antibiotic properties, so you may use it freely.
If you use coconut oil, don't go for the cheaper brands, I have tried them all and have found Nui to be far superior to any other.
