Because cheerleaders (I'm going by the stereotypical cheerleader here) are generally more outgoing, flirtatious, etc. They tend to flaunt their stuff. I'm sure there are tons of guys out there who love athletic girls. I'm fairly sure that in high school (assuming your in high school) Its all about hormones. You just have to find the guy who likes you for you.

Umm well....you are making the assumption cheerleaders aren't athletic....it takes a lot of blood and sweat in competitive cheerleading....you must be athletic or you will end up puking on the side...I am a cheerleader who is extemely athletic...you can't be an international champion and be out of shape...and for the whole smart comment....I go to stanford....sooooooo that whole argument has no basis....

Mid wild and all of you are wrong cheerleaders are athletic but most don't use their stuff to get guys. Your stupid. Don't believe stuff on tv. Cheerleaders are more popular and they are pretty because they work out and they aren't fat. Most cheerleaders are nice and caring they do tons of charity think and think try going to a competitive cheerleading gym and see

Because guys are afraid that you will beat them at their own game. Cheerleaders are idiots. They dont know how to do what you do so they are dittzy and full of air. Guys cant take the heat of a female that is better or just as good. They need someone of lower standards so they feel better about themselves.

We do love Athletic girls, but a lot of cheerleaders only get by on theire looks so they are easy to manipulate with guilt and cheep presents.

becuz cheerleaders are sluts and guys are afraid of athletic gurls because they know gurlz can beat them in THEIR sport.

I have always wondered that to... I think its just because of the clothes they were. And athletic girls are all not prissy

I've known many guys that have liked athletic girls...if they didn't that just wasn't their "type" maybe...
