I strongly suspect that Jesus would think that "Once was enough". Can you IMAGINE the commotion it would cause if He showed up today? Between believers, nonbelievers, and your garden variety idiots- his life would be at risk CONSTANTLY! I mean -look at what happened to Him the FIRST He was here.- Do you really think He would fare any better?

Honestly, for many a personal visit from Jesus Christ wouldnt do the trick.
They would pass it off as a psycotic episode or some other trick of the mind or eye.
It is written that the earth and its wonders are enough to plant the seed of Gods existance. And it is also written that there is a modicum of faith planted within every soul born. Sadly for some it will never be enough, and for others God has shut their eyes and ears on purpose (this is written in Romans and he is speaking about the Israelites who have seen Jesus in person, but still do not accept and believe)
Paul is the only one after the ascension to receive such a visit and this was to replace him as the chosen 12th apostle. This completed the work needed on earth until the events of Revelation are set into motion.

You are right! Why doesn't Jesus appear to everyone and prove that he is resurrected, just like he appeared to Paul? and the reason is that, in the same way that he appear to Paul he wants to do the same to all of us today. The light that Paul saw is the same light that is given to all of us today and the visual sign that we get is basically broken lives being brought back to life and to the understanding that God, all he ask from us is to believe in what he has to provide and also to believe that his time for withholding the coming and the appearing of his son is that he wishes no man or woman shall perish. When spoke to the disciples he told them: you have walked with me and seeing me but I tell you today BLESSED ARE THOSE THAT HAVE NOT SEEN ME AND BELIEVE.

Let's think on this a little bit deeper...say Jesus DID appear before you...all alone...in your kitchen...about 3 a.m...while you were getting a cup of tea & simply "couldn't sleep". You first have to accept the fact that this is occurring...you would have to put the teacup down, if you hadn't dropped it already, upon turning around to see a spirit entity sitting at your table...your heart is pounding out of your skin--so hard, that you feel like you're going to hyperventilate & pass out, Then this entity speaks...now, your legs get reeeeally weak & you're shaking all over...then suddenly, you get this sweet, warm feeling all around you & inside you...your heart mellows, the shaking stops...you feel this wonderful sense of connection. The entity speaks again, and you can do nothing but listen, in total awe...you are given information & having questions answered ("...even before they are asked...")...and then he gives you this long, loving, soul-grabbing look...and disappears...
...Now, tell someone what you just experienced...especially tell your church leader what happened....Then, experience the ride of your life! Be strong, Love, because persecution & ridicule are not that easy to deal with--even moreso when that comes from your closest of family & friends...let alone those who hear of your event, and upon even the closest of possibilites that this could be true, are prepared to keep a close eye on how far it goes, with a secure plan on its mgmt. in the scheme of things...pretty scarey, to say the least...
Now, keep thinking....

***Why doesn't Jesus appear to people today?***
ahahaha, good one.
He tried that already and we know what happened. Maybe he's smarter this time
and is working in an unknown or mysterious way. I highly suspect a repeat of the previous occurrence if Jesus were to appear amongst us today.
Yes, to an actual personal visit, no to mystical, spiritual talking to yourself stuff though.
Have a pleasant day.

When you fed the least of me, you fed me.
When I was in prison, you visited me.
and so on...
If you can't see Jesus in the people around you, you've got more wrong thinking to clear away.
What if from the time you were born you were taught that the spirit of Christ is within everyone you see? Yes, even Hitler. It'd be easier for you to see the spirit of Christ, of Love, when you look in the mirror.
If we kept looking to the physical body of Jesus for the Truth, we wouldn't look for it in each other and ourselves.

Jesus isn't a fairy tale or he hasn't forgotten how to take a physical form. Jesus is real, how do you think we got here, I know through you parents, but God made us, not evolotion. If you believe evolotion, what made evolotion!!! Jesus is coming back. The end of the world is soon VERY SOON!!!!!!!! God is by you all the time so be very careful what you do! Because he is watchin you right now. And his angels are by you NOW. If you don't beleive this email me at neiseydesigns@emails.net

Because the lord works in mysterious ways, or because he wants people to choose for themselves, or he wants to separate the believers from the non-believers...
Or maybe he was like those Christians today who claimed god used Katrina to punish heathens in New Orleans... just taking credit for natural occurences in the world.
It couldn't be that there have been many "Jesus's" since then - like David Korech (Branch Davidians in Waco), or Doe from the Heaven's Gate suicide cult in San Diego, or the leader of the Jamestown Massacre cult. These were all people who proclaimed themselves to be the new massiah. When society was too smart to buy into their BS and didn't attack them and martyr them, they couldn't handle the questions of their followers and committed suicide.

Jesus does not need to appear to anyone because they already know the truth. Question is: Do you accept it?
