Your credit is already ruined. It can be marred by having a late payment... but once it is in collections there is a big RED mark in your credit history. If you don't have much credit history, even though $300 isn't a lot of money, your credit history isn't going to get you any type of loan.

Short answer is yes. Also, if it's in collections, then it's already been reported to the Credit Reporting Agencies. It's the last thing they do before they sell the debt to another company.

Any debt that you don't pay on time can ruin your credit. I think you should call the collection agency and let them know that you want to pay something. Good luck!

Any time a debt is in collections it shows up on your credit. They don't necesarily have to have your ss#. Your bank account is linked to your ss# as well as any credit cards you may have used.

it can. you probably gave ebay access to your bank acct., which includes your social. credit's a credit, whether you used your social or not. if you made the purchase, just pay them up. if you did not, then email ebay to dispute the unauthorized charges. if not, it could end up hurting your credit.

Get out, take your kids and go to a women's shelter right now if you can. If not, wait until he is at work. Do you have any family/friends who can help you?
