Let's imagine that Jesus truly is God. What might he have done to prove it? He could have started by taking one of his most famous quotes from the Bible and acting on it. In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says quite clearly:

For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
To prove that he is God, Jesus would have moved a mountain.

Jesus was a man who claims to be God. If he is God, then he ought to be able to prove it in a real, inimitable way. If he cannot prove it then, quite clearly, he is not God.

Imagine that someone, today, were to come up to you and say, "I am God, and I will prove that I am God by healing the sick and turning water into wine!" What would you say? Be honest.

Everyone has seen all sorts of "faith healers" who can "heal" the sick. If it were true, then we would not need doctors, hospitals or prescription medicines.

First Jesus is the son of God @nd if you quote the Bible then you should have read that God does not need to prove himself to you . He does not give "sighns" or proof . It is called faith. How do you know that when u put money in a coke machine a coke will come out? You don'[t know for sure but you have faith that it will why because it has so many times before . I believe in God and Christ because they have come through for me all my life. You are living proof Jesus rose from the dead that we may live again. There is proof of this watch the discovery channel! If you don't want to believe then why ask questions? If you don't wish to believe then why read the bible? God gave each of us the freedom to choose a parent lets go of their childs hand having the faith that they will walk, having hope that they succeed but the faith and will to do so are up to them. You can lead a horse to water but you cannott make it drink. Some choose to drown in disbelif rather than have joy hope and faith in anything in this life!

Rant on my friend: Rant on!!!

2000+ years ago... 1000's of people saw first hand the miracles of Jesus: & they still yelled 'Crucify Him'!! They saw Him turn water into ‘Good’ wine: Feed 1000’s from a few loaves & Fish… they saw Him walk on water… Raise the dead: and more miraculously: they saw him eat & drink himself, 3 days after His Death>>>

What else does he have to do before people like yourself & they: stop yelling, ‘Prove it’: or ‘Crucify Him’??

The scripture you quoted: is Jesus talking to His followers: about what ‘They’ could do with faith the size of a mustard seed… not what ‘He’ could do!! We already know & believe what He is capable of!!

A miracle of Jesus is typing to you right ‘NOW’: but if I told you of it: you would just call me a liar: a fake: a fruitcake: or some other disbelieving/derogative comment… and for every argument I gave: you would only come up with 2 counter arguments against… RIGHT!! So what’s the point!!!

You… They… & millions like you… will only believe… what you want to believe… & ‘Nothing’, sadly: would be ‘Good’ enough to ‘PROVE’ it to you!!

OK. I'll fall into this one too...

All His miracles, & those performed in His name, left behind physical evidence - sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, life to the dead, voice to the mute, freedom to the posessed.

I've got a woman in my church who's been cured of cancer. Didn't come from a "faith healer," came from alot of prayer.

Some people refuse to believe the evidence.

As for not needing medicines, etc., God imparts knowledge & the wisdom to use it on all sorts of people - doctors, nurses, pharmacists. He's still involved in the healing - doesn't make it any less miraculous.

The funny thing with faith healers is that they provide no guarantees. If they claim to have healed you and you end up in the hospital attached to machines and dying -- guess what? You just didn't believe enough! They aren't discredited and you get to take the guilt for just not being good enough. Isn't that nice?

Yep, and they told Jesus to come down from the cross as physical evidence of who He was. And He didn't. This is where faith comes in, and you've already implied that you don't have any. Not everyone has been chosen, but I can certainly put you on a prayer list.

it wasnt about "proving" he was God exactly. it was about teaching people to have faith. and there are other ways of figuring out wether or not he was God, logic, for example. and almost all of the miracles left physical evidence.

and doctors are here because of our fallen nature and somthing called "free will". if you choose to shoot me, God is not going to stope you because he has given you the right to choose. it doesnt matter if i'm a good person or if i have served him my whole life, you still have that right. which is where evil comes in. if there is no wrong, how can you choose right? evil is has to exist in order for there to be good.

If I only know you personally, I will have a greater chance of making you believe, and have faith bigger than a mustard seed.

For now, I will just sit and wait for you to tell me of the miracle that will happen in your life and how it changed you.

"faith healers" are doctors, my friend. and Jesus doesn't need to prove anything, you can either believe and follow Him, or take your own opinion. Jesus loves you, but hey, He isn't going to beat you for your love.

Parting of the Red Sea, manna from heaven, changing water to wine, raising the dead, feeding of 5000 with a boys lunch of fish and bread...

Jesus was a man. A normal human. No miracles.
