At most major airports, a job for security is generally available to any person who is over the age of 18 and a high school diploma is normally required. Most of the time there will be a back ground check.

There is usually some sort of additional training. If your looknig to work in security, you won't be working with an airline, your basically working for the airport who provides the security services.

I have provided a link below to MSN Careers, for Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport and the airport' current job listings:
http://msn.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Companies/CompanyDetails.aspx?hhname=hartsfieldjackson&IPath=JRK&cbRecursionCnt=1&cbsid=8928f320bf474f70a0ebdeb6b5dce33c-210025102-TG-4

Currently 4 available job positions at the airport:
Aviation Chief Scheduler
Aviation Scheduler
Architect Assistant
Project Coordinator (Information Technology Engineer, Sr.)

The above are jobs were you would be working for the airport. If your not interested in any of those jobs, try calling the airport or go to the airport office's to ask about current job postings with airlines at Atlanta Hartsfield. I would assume Delta will have the most listings at Atlanta Hartsfield, since Atlanta is Delta's hub, but be sure to check with the airport and what airlines are currently looking for ground employees.

Hope this helps :-)
- Good luck, I hope you find the job your looking for!

I started working at the airport at 16 but last year it was changed.
TSA hires at 18, but the tests arent that easy. Being a gate agent is ALOT of fun they also hire at 18, but if you dont have airline experience and you are only 18 they might pick someone else. Flight attendants get hired at 19.

Depends on the legal age to apply for a Restricted Zone pass.

18 if you want to do ticketing or gate agent. I think TSA has a 21 age limit. 21 if you want to be a flight attendant. You can't have a criminal background, and if you work for TSA (I wouldn't b/c you won't get flight benefits), they also do a credit check.

Depends...do you want to work in a food booth or do you want to fly the plane?
