Being "spiritual" is great, but it is meaningless unless you fully believe and trust in Jesus Christ.

This is an awfully broad question that assumes all modern Christians can just be lumped together in one group. For that matter, we've had people calling themselves Christians but just going through the motions since Day 1. I think this probably holds true for all other religions as well. I would hope that instead of just trying to find people who are just going through the motions that instead we'd encourage all believers in Christ to go beyond just "doing church" and pursue a real, personal relationship instead.

This is an impossible question to answer. There are some of each. The people who say that 'Being a Christian and being wrong is better than being an atheist and being wrong.' are going through the motions - hedging their bets.

Christians who don't love their neighbor, aren't friendly to all people, and who knowingly spread lies and try to stir up trouble are going through the motions.

Christians who follow the moral lessons in the bible and try to be the best person they can be, and feel that the Christian God is guiding them, or are thankful for such a god, are truly spiritual.

Modern christians are spiritual (not all but many). If you pray and explain to god your life, problems, etc.., then you are spiritual. But if all you do is pray quick go to church once in a while you most likely arent spiritual.

If you are christian Ask yourself this (if not regard this):

Are you truly spiritual, devoted to god and jesus?

And

Do you follow lucifer the anti-christ to the depths of hell, or Jesus the real christ to the city of eternal life?

They aren't even going through the motions......I can say with certainty that modern Christianity is devoid of spirituality. They call light, dark and dark, light...They are completely backward.

And I can say that because I came out of the fundamental church 14 years ago and have searched truth through countless hours of self meditation and self study of history/Bible....I can't believe how lost I was.

Some are truely spritual, some just go through the motions. It doesn't matter what GROUP (church, political, school, job, a certain race or religion) - in each group there are good ones and bad ones. Ours is not to tear apart the concept and sterotype the whole group, but to understand some are good and some are bad.

Most of them will tell you Yes.

But, one simple test is Do they bear good fruit?

Can you tell that they truely love others as they love themselves? Are they in service to others in Christ's Name?

What really matters is If you're a modern Christian, are you just going through the motions?

i think it would be hard to answer for a whole
i have spoken to some deeply " spiritual " Christians on here .. who act as Jesus would have wished them to
but i have seen some very unspiritual words from some who would claim to be true Christians
i feel in every faith spirituality should be the core of the religion

Judeth not the group, only the individual. And only do that if you must. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Peace be with you.
