NO....HE WILL STILL BE WEARING THE COLLAR WHICH IS STRESSFUL ENOUGH....IF THE VET CAN GIVE YOU A SEDATIVE WHICH WILL LAST THE FULL JOUNEY THEN IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR THE DOG

No I would not ship him give the dog time to heal there could be complications during the flight and there is no one there to watch the dog if problems shall arise..So play it safe and let the dog heal before letting him on a plane...Dog breeder& trainer of Labarador's for the blind for 13 years..

That is a question for your vet to answer, but, myself, I would think it very risky for these reasons..
1..stress lowers the immune system response..so he's more likely to get an infected would site..
2...Changes in altitude cause bleeding..the wound is too fresh to have the bleeding totally controlled..
3...He needs watched/observed for any post surgical problems..there is no one on the plane to watch him..
In response to the person who said to ask for a sedative..Airlines no longer accept sedated dogs..

I personally would not consider shipping him. Even though males who are neutered seem to recover more quickly than females who are spayed, there are risks involved.

NO, it is not okay. He needs to be fully healed from his surgery before he flies.

Even though they recover pretty quickly, I wouldn't recomend it. He will be sore and that would just add to his stress. He would end up feeling pretty crappy. So hopefully you don't . Thanks
