The devil is a real person, he is not directly responsible for all the bad things that people do, people can do bad things of their own accord, but he does exert influence on society in general and can influence some people directly because of their association with the occult etc. we know he has authority over human governments and a lot of what goes on in the world.
to illustrate: the devil offered jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he would worship him, matt 4:8-10 - could he have done that if he did not actually have them to offer? jesus didn't say 'hold on, you can't offer me those, you don't own them'? no! because he did. also jesus viewed the devil as real, he wasn't tempted by an imaginary person. so if we believe in jesus we must also believe that the devil exists. 1 john 5:19

All wrongs tha that a huma does is not of Satan but of huma intent. Their meaness can come from a variety of things in nature. You cannot get even in this situation but to give over to Satan and become real bad.

Whenever someone uses "Satan" or "demons" to take the blame, it's absolving yourself of responsibility for thier own actions. Even if such things were real, we should take responsibility for our own actions.

It's like people who blame the alcohol when they get slutty some drunken night. The alcohol didn't pour itself down their throat.

Uprbringing does affect people but even Christian teens can be tempted. My kids lied to me and snuck around cuz Satan is in great wrath cuz we are closer to the end of the world. Everyone can repent though. Thats why we have prayer and Holy Communion

Fear and Hatred are human weaknesses. They've been with us forever, and will always lurk within us.

Only Love and Courage can set us free of them. But it is far too easy to surrender to fear and hatred than it is to find the courage to Love.

And out of fear of blame and responsibility for our actions, many look for scapegoats to take the blame away from us. Satan, Christians, Moslems, Gays, women, men, the list of scapegoats is as endless and varied as humanity itself.

Only when we stop looking beyond ourselves for the answer, and look within, stare down the fear, turn away from hatred, can we find our salvation.

Each of us finds that salvation as we find the courage to love. it is to each of us to fight that battle within. Neither God nor Christ nor anything can win that battle for us.

You're right..people need to take responibility for their own actions...people give the devil too much credit..that's for sure..but none the less, the devil is real..and he does seek out to kill and destroy..so be prepared.

Look, God gave us a free will to decide what we want to do, right or wrong.

We are in between God & the Devil. We are the ones who have to decide which side to go to.

God gave us a free will. He is being gentleman enough to not get into your decisions.!

People do what they do based on either genetic preposition, or environmental factors. I think social pressure is a big one regarding environment.
