If it was bleeding then the chances are it won't survive. However, if it does then what you should feed it depends on how old it is. If it's very young then it won't be able to eat solids and you should feed it milk. We found a baby squirrel once, and I think we fed it watered down cows milk and it was fine. If you can feed it with a dropper that's well and good, but you could put the milk in the finger of a rubber glove with a pin prick in the end. Don't feed it too much though, it might eat until it's sick. Feed it a little and often, and make sure that it swallows what it has in its mouth before giving it more.
You should also leave it in a warm (not too hot!) dark place until at least tomorrow so that it calms down from its ordeal.
Try leaving a tray of sunflower seeds in the cage with it, if it eats them then it's old enough to. However, you should probably eventually hand it over to an animal rescue centre.

Feed it 50% goats milk & 50% water with an eye dropper or a small bottle for orphan critters. Or you can use the same mix of kitten replacement formula. You can get goats milk in a can in the bakery aisle of the grocery store. It is around $2.25 a can. If it is old enough (has teeth coming in, you can also give it nuts. If you try peanut butter, give it natural peanut butter. No sodium. Feed it every 4 hours. Use a 20 ounce soda bottle filled with hot water and covered with a thick sock to keep it warm. If the bleeding is from a cut, treat it with neosporin to keep it from getting infected. You will have to use a wet, warm washcloth to stimulate urination and defacation.

Keeping wild animals is illegal in some states. You need to call your local animal wildlife officer or 'game warden'. They have a list of rehabilitators that will nurse the squirrel back to health if plausible. Most vets will not treat wild animals due to the rabies risk associated with them. Your sheriff's office will have the number to contact your game warden. Good luck and God bless you for not leaving him out there to die!

I nursed a squirrel back to health before. You can feed it water/evaporated milk w/water or kitten formula through a dropper. Squirrels will also eat lettuce and most other produce, but try to stay away from acidy foods. When he gets better you will notice and then you can let him into the wild.

There should be a wildlife rescue center in your area where you can take it, if you can't find one try calling the Humane Society or SPCA and see if they can give you the number for the wildlife Rescue in your area.

I would contact a wildlife rehabilitator , they are lisenced to take care of abandoned wildlife. You really should not have a wild animal without a permit

It's not a pet and is probably rapid. Let it go and let mother nature take care of it. She's better than anybody. If it means death, so be it.
