...where you are right now from the air? what would it look like? I've got a river valley with lakes about five miles away, the area is fairly flat with a few hills and quite green although there are a couple of large towns nearby.

Shell: a tiny community cut out of the forest. We were until a few years ago, very seclude from the outside world. But this telephone company put in lines and cables and brought in good TV reception, Phones that really work and the Internet. This mountainous area is surrounded by lakes and rivers. Open pastures where the main industry is ranching and cattle. A few Chicken barns and hog barns. Most of the town is on this one giant cable system. Eufaula dam brings in ample electricity and it is a co-opt and a local man owns a gas well and sells the gas to everyone in town only. We are a community that is pretty self sustaining. Everyone has a minni farm where they have a garden and fruit trees. Pretty much like a paradise.
We swim and ride horses and have picnics by the lake. Take grandpa's boat to the lake and ride around. All the people in town are like a big family. Everyone knows everyone and when the wind comes through and blew the roof off our neighbors house everyone went over and helped put on a new one.
Actually this place is just about as perfect as any place could be.
there is only one church in town and it is a Babtist Church and everyone goes there. They do not like other religions in this area.
there is a mixture of races and any discrimination is really looked down on as it should be. The children at taught to be a good Babtist. Have young life where they have counceling for teens.

An old American whaling town on the Hudson River... too bad whaling hasn't doen much for this town's economy for 150 years! The river is wide here, about 2 blocks from my house. There is a small lighthouse. The river stops flowing here twice a day when the tide comes in, and is choked with water chestnut. Across the river are the Catskill Mountains, eroded red shale plateaus and ravines. The bedrock here is limestone, farther east is metamorphosized folded Appalachian rock. 3 hours north is God's Own Country and the place I call home- the Adirondack Mountains.

The street I live on is a brick captain's house haven for Manhattanites and antiques shoppers, and has been revitalized to the detriment of all trees. The streets surrounding are in various states of disrepair and low income tract housing and old townhouses. I can watch dealers selling crack any night of the week out my window.

This town is surrounded by rolling farmland and small and large creeks, with vineyards, apple orchards, and corn fields abounding. We are two hours north of NYC and 30 minutes south of Albany. It is a beautiful area but the town is depressed and ugly and has an unfriendly spirit. Other than that it's great...

The sea of Lyme Bay is about 150 metres east of here. A few miles to the west lie the wilds of Dartmoor. I am atop a rise, with buildings all around - some houses and shops and a large number of hotels. A small area of a medium sized town.

It is dark, with a good 3½ hours til sunrise. The holiday-makers, drunks and others have finally wandered off to bed or to custody. Nice. Time for a quick walk on the cliff-tops and then to bed myself.

Easy, I live in an L-shaped valley near the tip of the bottom-right corner of the L. There's a river that runs thru the L that goes from the bottom right corner to the top, its very beautiful and we've never had a severe storm because of the mountains around us.

I'm in the southern part of a medium sized, rather pretty city, with a university and the capital of Texas at its center. The city is in a beautiful batch of wooded hills, with a wide, lazy river running through it. I love Austin. :)

I am situated under a grassy knoll. Its kinda dark and there is loads of worms kicking about. My best pal is a mole that brings me info on whats going on above. I heard a rumour that your looking for me, so i thought i would reply. Please tell me if you see my wee mountain of earth from where you are!
I shall try and get a map for you, but its not easy as there are so many busy roads that i could be crushed attempting to cross the road to the local farmers out house. I hear he has a map so leave it with me.

Smells like strawberries because of my aroma therapy candles. It's a beautiful sunny day in Hawaii. I can hear the ocean, and it's pretty breezy. I drove from Kailua this morning and the ocean looked so blue and pretty. Today is such an amazing day.

In a ball of sparkling pink and blue light. Bouncing my way up to teddy land, where the snoozle blanket covers me....

... in a brick house, in a bick house estate, in a brick house town, surrounded by green and brown trees, fields (and the odd bit of blue water here and there) etc until you reach the next brick house town.

I live close to a lake so it would be very pretty. Lots of trees and new homes and too many people. Not enough lanes on the freeway to go places cuz its growing too fast.
