It's a Latin American fruit where you bite the covering & then suck the fruit until you get to the seed. Mamon comes from Spanish "mamar-to suck." Weird, huh?

I like it. It tastes good.

Very common in Venezuela. there are two type of "mamon" trees, one does not give any friuts (male trees) but they send out the spores for she-trees and then we harvest mamons.

It's great. The juice stains your clothes, so careful to wash after you have some.
