How much time should I wait between a tummy tuck and breast surgery?

I'm getting a tummy tuck, some lipo, and plastic surgery for scarring on my leg this Tuesday. I'm also interested in getting breast work done ASAP. I will probably just need a lift instead of an enhancement, but I will leave it to my surgeon to decide. Money is not an issue, my schedule is. How soon after this surgery should I feel well enough for the breast surgery. My surgeon says 6 months and though I respect him and he's the best, we have already begun to playfully argue considering I've had many surgeries before. I'm thinking it'll be my Thanksgiving present to myself - Christmas at the latest. Any ideas?

I had a tummy tuck, lipo and a breast lift done all at the same time. The breast lift was a breeze, almost no pain at all. There may be reasons while your doc wants you to wait between procedures, but if it is at all possible I would do it all at once and get it over with. Make sure you have at least 6 weeks to recover from the tummy tuck, it took me about 8 weeks before I felt well enough to return to work. If I were you, I'd listen to the surgeon. Your body needs time to adjust to the new contours. It would be a shame to go through all of that surgery and have less than optimal results because you rushed things.

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is big surgery. Your surgeon will release the skin from the underlying fascia from your pubic area all the way up to your breastbone, then pull it down and cut off the excess. You'll only see a scar down south, but there is work done all over.

Take the time to heal and trust your surgeon on this one.

Hi I had my breast done and was not happy and with in 2 months had them redone by the same doctor, And with in 3 week i went in for a full tummy tuck. not a partial. i was so happy and the pain was nothing to complain about, Then i decided to go for some lipo around my waist , i had that done with in 4 weeks of tha last surgery ,the doctor said it was OK as long as i was healthy and had no problems, But the pain i had with the lipo ,I would not wish that on my worst friend, The pain was unbearable for months after, it felt like some one was tearing my skin with a razor inside of me, the out side pain was nothing , it was the inside pain, .so my girl friend went and had it done , she was on vicadine pain pills for over 6 months, she said the same thing it felt like you are being cut with razors from the inside. I had 4 liters of fat remove from my waist and area, that isn't really, Not its 3 yrs later and they say fat wont come back to the same stop but will go to some other spot on your body, well that's true but it returns to the old spots too, I am not fat at all i just wanted a little touch up being i am 55yrs old and look like I'm in my 40's. good luck with the pain, i would not do it again if the doctors did it FREE.
