It sounds like this probably isn't the first time your dad has been autocratic. I'm curious about the two hours he wants to himself. Aren't you? (Let me know when you ask that question.)
Here's what I'd do. Take the dog and be gone from the house for the required two hours. Walk the dog as long as you normally would. Then, go to a park and hang out with your dog. Or go to a friend's house (whose parents like dogs). Maybe you can keep a wagon at a friend's house? Then, you could ride your bike with your dog to get the wagon. When your dog gets tired, you could hook the wagon up to your bike and give your dog a ride. Make sure to pack snacks and drinks for you and your dog. Also, pack plastic bags so you can pick up your dog's poop, as needed. Maybe you'll find you like being away from your house on such a regular basis?
EDITED TO SAY: One more thing to consider: "Physical neglect includes refusal of or delay in seeking health care, abandonment, expulsion from the home or refusal to allow a runaway to return home, and inadequate supervision."

Telling a child to be gone for two hours a day sounds abusive. You don't say how old you are, and I'm not asking. Regardless of your age, I don't think this is about the dog. I think it's about how your dad is treating you. I hope you will talk to a trusted teacher at school, a school counselor, or a preacher. Please, take care of yourself. Good luck!
PS If your dad's an alcoholic, I'd like to suggest Al-anon or Alateen for you.

There shouldn't be a time restriction for walkin the dog, long as the walk is longer than 2 minutes.

My dad would have beaten me and gotten rid of the dog long ago. If I didn't do what he said I knew I would pay for it, so I always did what he wanted.
I think your dad is right on this one, sorry. A dog is a lot of responsibility. It has to be exercised and played with to keep it happy and healthy.

ok.im a vet tech and you can not take your dog on a 2 hour walk every day.you will end up hurtting it and over tiring him.the lenght that you are taking him is good and that is enough for a dog.tell him to go speek to a vet and they will tell you that your dog does NOT NEED A 2 HOUR WALK!!!!! some dogs can handle it.but you have to slowly work up to that.

Sounds like an ogre. Maybe he doesn't like your dog and it just needs some obedience training, or maybe he's sick of looking at you due to his own issues. Tell him that his anger and controlling personality is making you think he doesn't love you any more. That should wake him up.

I would call the local vet and ask them what is good for the dog and then relay that information on to my father...but judging by your question it doesn't matter what anyone else says your father will think he is right no matter what

that's ridiculous... you shouldn't have to walk 2 hours a day! your dog will be exhausted, and so will you! Tell your dad that it's unfair and give reasons.. hopefull he'll understand! good luck
