this guy told me that he liked me. Then I left for a week and we have only talked once and he said that he would call me. He's not a flake so what does it mean if he doesn't call me?

Are you serious? It means, "Out of sight, out of his mind". He's just not that into you. I guess you didn't make a lasting impression on him. That doesn't mean that he necessarily wouldn't respond to a tun up...in other words, if you were to see or speak to him again, perhaps he'll be re-energized.
But over all, I think girls expect waaaay too much from guys. They're usually not looking for a "lasting relationship" right at the onset. If you're his type and he thinks you're genuinely interested in him, he'll make an effort. If he doesn't, don't take it personally.
As much as we hate to admit it, guys are mainly interested in one thing from a girl. If you think you have something else to offer, try it on a guy that you think is worth your time. Just don't let yourself get played, okay?

Hmmmm. Mixed signals I hate them. If its been a while and he hasn't called maybe something came up and there is that possibility thats he is really not interested. It all depends, some guys do like to be chased, are you willing to put yourself out there, is he worth it, if so..............then play the chase game, call him, don't wait for him to call you. Just don't call too much.
But if you don't particularly want to play cat and mouse with this guy, call it a day and forget about him, I am sure you have other prospects.

That means he's just busy and doesn't have time to call you. God, you women panic if a guy doesn't call you every waking second of the day! Even with cell phones, you can't expect them to be on call for you all the freaking time! Do you have seperation anxiety or something? Jeez. This is why they call pagers/cellphone "electric dog collars!"

iknow its probably driving you crazy right abot now. I would know because the guy i thought i was seeing hasnt called me for over 2 weeks. I say dont wait around for him. keep yourself busy with any project to get ur mind off of him.
next time he calls do either of these two.
1) pick up and go " oh hey you. sorry but i can't talk now. maybe ill call you later.". Then call after a week.
2) orrr pick up and talk very myseteri ously and irresistably and make him want u even more.. and the go welll i gotta go now. ill call u later...and call baq after a weeek or two so NOW he can be the one sayin hmm why isnt she callin me?
(maybe hes jus busy) dont chase him and dont u call first

He may not want to put himself out there in case you reject him. He may be thinking he needs to wait for a while before calling so he does not seem desperate, he could be embarresed.
Why dont you call him. ask him if he wants to go out sometime. Just make sure its when he is on his own that way he is not playing up for his mates.
He might have lost your number. Just keep talking to him and check he has not got a girlfriend while you were away.

This ones tricky, I mean. It's not like you're dating so he doesn't have an obligation to call you but if he truly does like you the way he says he does, than he'll call you and let you know that.

Maybe he's shy or busy. But for whatever reason, you should really find out.
Call him, but don't be obsessive. Don't be like, "OMG YOU SAID WERE GOING TO CALL ME!!!!", but be more like, "Hey, whats up? yaddayadda" ...really nonchalant.
