Behr, and use a power roller, you WILL save on paint.

affordable and one coat do not go together, spend a little more on a premiun paint like Pratt and Lampert accolade or benjamin moore regal and you will stand a better chance
of getting one coat coverage.....all paint companies had to re formulate their painta a few years back to comply with new goverment regulations...because of this one coat coverage is pretty much a thing of the past. I am a painting contractor and always bid jobs for two coats.

Well it depends on what color it's going over and what color you are choosing. If you are choosing a bright color or deep color or a red there is no such thing as a one coat paint. If you are doing a mid-range or lighter color go with Behr Paint. If you are painting one of the darker, brighter or red colors then make sure you use the tinted primer offered and you should cut down on your coats dramatically.

That would depend on what your painting, inside or outside. I like Sherwin Williams paint, http://www.sherwin-williams.com They also make weatherbetter that Sears sells. I have painted many houses and I have found that their paint is solid. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I also like Ben-Moore paints as well. I hope this helps

Behr brand paint was voted #1 and offers a wide range of colors and textures. You can buy it at Lowes or Home Depot.

I hate to say this but the more you spend on paint the fewer coats you'll need to paint.

It really depends on the color. Dark colors always require more than one coat. Or if you are covering a dark color with a light one.
I like Philadelphia, it's about $18-$23 per gallon.
