I recently reinstalled xp on my hard drive but forgot to backup my pictures. I am looking for a good free program that can get the jpegs back for me.

If you have done your reinstall as a repair FileRecoveryAngel 1.06 will recover any deleated file on any file system if you have done a full install you cannot recover the files but I am afraid it is not free

I asked this question last week and basically they told me that I was screwed. I downloaded a program called "recover my files" but it doesn't really work. When you delete things, they get overwritten when you save new things on your computer. I wish I could bring back my photos though. So if I'm wrong, and you do get your pictures back, please tell me how. : )

You might struggle to get anything back at all but you could try the following website, entering delete recovery in the search box at the top.

I have not heard of a really reliable program that will do what you ask. If you find one post it.
