I hate people like that..... she gets to be pregnant and doesnt give a crap about the baby, and theres people out there who can't have kids and wouldnt dream of harming their child!!!
I would tell everyone about, including the probabtion officer, and the I would call Child protection on her, because they need to be there to take that baby away from her when it comes out!
If she doesnt care now, she wont care when it comes.

That poor infant! You must report her to someone... at the very least, her probation officer. I work at a preschool for children with disabilities, and I see the effects of drug and alcohol addicted infants daily. If the baby lives through her abuse, they will have a difficult time when they emerge. Withdrawls in infants are terrible, not to mention the long-term cognitive delays that will result. Unfortunately, at six months, the damage is already done. The brain and major systems of the body have been formed, and irreparable damage has been done. With any luck, the infant will be taken by Social Services from the hospital. This baby needs a champion- tell someone who can help.

You should probably tell the probation officer. They will be able to handle the situation better. I don't know if you could do anonymously but you should tell someone. The poor infant could have some serious developmental problems. The best thing for your friend is to tell her probation officer so they can get her into some kind of a program, because if it comes out later. Then she will most likely lose custody of her baby and still be court ordered to get help.

Ok...if your saying she smokes Cigarettes...there is nothing you can do. In some cases...your doctor wont have you stop smoking because of the withdrawls....if she is smoking anything other than tobacco....then you need to report her to the probation officer...to social services. That is danger to the baby..and dont worry, they will find out about it. They take a stool sample from the baby when they are born to check if the mother did drugs. As for poppin pills...do you even know what she is taking? You should make sure you know what she is taking first...cause some things are ok. Prenatal...ibprofen...

I would most def. report it to social services, she doesnt have to know that it was you. Also you need to get a doc. to explain to her how badly that can hurt the baby, but if she is already 6 months damage probably has been done. Still yet its worth it all to get her help and that baby help. It doesnt need to grow up in that enviroment!

Do something, I don't care what - she has no right being a mother! It is NOT fair to the unborn child! Tell anyone and everyone so that someone can put a stop to her behavior.

My personal experience: you can only help those who want to help themselves. So, if your 'friend' isn't interested in changing her actions, there's not a whole lot you can do apart from reporting her to child services or whatnot.

God forbid her child is born with developmental issues...

Good luck.

I would tell social services. I worked at a doctors office and if you call in (anomisouly) and tell them whats going on they will write it down in her chart and when she comes in they could test her and she wouldn't know and they could turn it over to social services.

yes!! do it so her unborn child will have a chance. I use to smoke, as soon as i found out i was pregnant, i quit. that was my choice it's not fair to my child. that baby didn't ask for her as a mother and she/he deserves to come into this world healthy. even if it's born in jail.
